In May, Ukraine increased rolled metal manufacture by 1.8% MoM, to 594.9 thousand tons.
Steel output grew by 3.2%, to 737.6 thousand tons, and pig iron – by 9.4%, to 653.1 thousand tons.
Compared with May 2023, rolled metal manufacture grew by 26.5%, steel by 26.5% and pig iron by 8.2%.
In January-May, Ukraine produced 2.57 million tons of rolled metal, 3.14 million tons of steel and 2.84 million tons of pig iron, up by 29.5%, 31.2% and 20.8% YoY respectively.
