Gabon's manganese ore production increased in the first quarter

The first quarter report of 2024 released by the General Department of Economy and Tax Policy of Gabon shows that the manganese ore production in the first quarter of the year reached 2.44 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 42%. However, due to a technical accident at the beginning of the year, the railway was temporarily suspended, and the export volume of manganese ore in the first quarter was only 1.9 million tons, with a total export value of 153.7 billion Central African francs (about 260 million US dollars).
