On July 18th, Anglo American Resources announced a chromium ore production of 249,000 tons for the second quarter of 2024, an increase of 25% month on month (2024Q1: 199,000 tons) and a year-on-year increase of 7% (2023Q2: 232,000 tons). Craig Miler, CEO of Anglo American Resources, stated that the company's mining performance improved in the second quarter, with production and sales increasing by 7% and 14% year-on-year, respectively. The 2024 full year guidance production target remains unchanged. Anglo American Resources has set a production capacity of 3.3-3.7 million ounces for Metal Resource Smelting (PGMs).
