Turkey's crude steel output increases in Jun y-o-y

According to the statement from the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), in June, Turkey's crude steel output increased by 4.3% year on year to about 3.07 million tons. Meanwhile, Turkey's finished steel products consumption went down by 13.3% year on year to 2.89 million tons. In addition, compared to the same month a year ago, Turkey's steel products exports hiked by 30.9% to 1.14 million tons. On the contrary, the imports decreased by 20.1% to around 1.17 million tons.
In the first six months, Turkey's crude steel production totaled about 18.61 million tons, a year-on-year growth of 16.9%. At the same time, Turkey exported steel products of 6.49 million tons, growing by 45.1% year on year. On the contrary, the imports went down by 13.3% year on year to 8.23 million tons.
