On August 14th, the spot price of 40-42% chrome concentrate of South Africa at Tianjin Port was around 62-62.5 yuan/dmtu, and the futures price was 305-315 US dollars/ton. The spot quotation of 46%-48%Türkiye chrome ore concentrate is around 76-77 yuan/dmtu in China, and the futures quotation is 420-430 dollars/ton. Recently, the overall price of chrome ore has remained stable. Currently, the ferrochrome plant's efforts to suppress prices are limited. After the 42% chrome powder ore futures transaction in South Africa was reduced to 310 US dollars in the early stage, it has not been further lowered and is expected to remain stable in the short term, waiting for a new round of high carbon ferrochrome bidding from steel plants to emerge.
