In August 2024, the total export volume of high carbon ferrochrome from South Africa was 300,600 tons, a decrease of 1.8% month on month and 7.0% year-on-year. Among them, 115,000 tons of high carbon ferrochrome were exported to China, an increase of 22.1% month on month and 1.8% year-on-year. Among them, 124,000 tons of high carbon ferrochrome were exported to Mozambique, an increase of 33.6% compared to the previous period.
The total export volume of high carbon ferrochrome from South Africa from January to August 2024 was 2.597 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.5%. The quantity exported to China was 952,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 18.8%. The quantity exported to Indonesia was 55,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 65.4%. The quantity exported to Mozambique was 810,000 tons, an increase of 38.4% year-on-year. The quantity exported to the United Arab Emirates was 3,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 97.7%.
