The price of Indian ferromanganese (HC70%) rose by about 900 rupees/ton (11 US dollars/ton) on a weekly basis, with a factory price of 70,500 rupees/ton (845 US dollars/ton) in Rabaul and a price increase of 1,200 rupees/ton (14 US dollars/ton) to 70,200 rupees/ton (841 US dollars/ton) in Durgapur region. The reason for the significant increase in the price of ferromanganese is the continuous rise in domestic demand, especially from steel mills. In addition, the offshore price of ferromanganese (HC75%) is $936/ton (Vizag/Haldia), an increase of $13/ton compared to the previous period.
