keywords :

The price of silicon manganese in India has risen by approximately 21,250 rupees/ton (255 US dollars/ton) on a weekly basis, with prices in major markets such as Raipur, Durgabur, and Vizag ranging from 92,800 to 95,600 rupees/ton (1,113 to 1,147 US dollars/ton). In both domestic and global markets, panic buying triggered by the rise in manganese ore prices has pushed up prices.

The main manganese ore producer in India, MOIL, has raised prices in May to cope with rising import ore costs. High grade manganese ore (44% and above) will increase by 40%, while low-grade ore (below 44%) will increase by 25%, which may affect domestic silicon manganese prices.
