In January 2024, the total export volume of high carbon ferrochrome from South Africa was 312,600 tons, a decrease of 9.9% month on month and 29.7% year-on-year. Among them, 104,500 tons of high carbon ferrochrome were exported to China, a decrease of 20.9% month on month and 59.1% year-on-year. Among them, 107,600 tons of high carbon ferrochrome were exported to Mozambique, a decrease of 10.1% month on month. Among them, 5,300 tons of high carbon ferrochrome were exported to Indonesia.
