The total export volume of South African chrome ore increased in 2023

In December 2023, the total export volume of South African chrome ore was 1.5315 million tons, a decrease of 7.1% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 43.5%. Among them, 777,000 tons of chrome ore were exported to China, a decrease of 6.1% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 36.8%. The export of 576,600 tons of chrome ore to Mozambique decreased by 2.1% month on month and increased by 36.2% year-on-year. The total export volume of South African chrome ore from January to December 2023 was 17.7915 million tons, an increase of 26.6% year-on-year. The quantity exported to China was 8.3546 million tons, an increase of 20.4% year-on-year. The quantity exported to Mozambique was 7.4558 million tons, an increase of 42.5% year-on-year.
