In August 2023, Turkey's chrome ore exports totaled 120,400 tons, an increase of 13.8% month on month and 108.1% year on year. Among them, 97,900 tons of chrome ore were exported to China, an increase of 36.6% month on month and 328.8% year-on-year.
From January to August 2023, Turkey exported 921,700 tons of chrome ore, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%. The quantity exported to China was 698,400 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.6%. The quantity exported to Sweden was 126,100 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 38.4%.
